he Ministry of Trade and Industry is holding an open day on the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) on Aug 1.
The TPPA open day will be held between 9am and 1pm.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Miti said the decision to hold the open day was made following various reactions from the public including political parties, NGOs, industrial and business chambers.
“Although the ministry had held many rounds of meetings with the stakeholders, Miti admits many other issues still need to be explained to the public.
“Following feedbacks received, Miti and all ministries and agencies involved in the TPPA negotiations decided to hold the open day.
“All negotiators representing Malaysia will give further details on related issues and to get feedback on the issues negotiated.
“They will also share developments from 18th round of the TPPA negotiations in Kota Kinabalu.”
